Hospice Memorial Service Set for October 29           Send a link to a friend

[OCT. 26, 2006]  LINCOLN -- The next Hospice Care of Illinois service of remembrance will be held on Sunday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 204 7th Street in Lincoln.

The interfaith memorial service will remember those who have been served by the Hospice Care of Illinois throughout the past year. As the name of each deceased patient is read aloud by hospice staff, friends and family members are encouraged to come forward and light a candle in their loved ones’ name.

Others are welcome to attend to remember friends and family members who have passed at any time from any cause.

A reception will follow the service to give families time to visit with hospice staff and each other.

Hospice Care of Illinois remembrance services are conducted every four months and rotate between churches in Lincoln, Chatham and Jacksonville.
Hospice Care of Illinois is a partnership between the Visiting Nurse Association and Memorial Health System. It is a licensed, Medicare-certified program that provides comprehensive care in the home setting for terminally ill patients and their loved ones.
