recalling Baby Trend Back Pack Carriers sold nationwide from March
2002 to November 2006. The stitching on the strap of the carrier can
loosen or detach, causing the carrier to shift, posing a fall hazard
to young children.
The product is a green/silver infant back pack carrier made of
heavy-duty nylon with a lightweight steel frame. Only carriers with
style number 2512 and 2592LX are included in the recall. "Baby
Trend" is printed on the back of the seat of the carrier

ROBES SOLD BY QVC CAN CATCH FIRE
QVC Inc. of West Chester, Pa., is recalling "Quacker Factory"
Chenille Robes sold nationwide from August 2006 to December 2006.
The robes fail to meet federal flammability requirements. Should the
robe come in contact with an ignition source, such as a stove
burner, candle flame or cigarette lighter, it could catch fire and
possibly cause serious burns.
The robes are 100 percent cotton chenille robes sold under the
names "Quacker Factory Holiday Cheer Chenille Robe," with QVC item
number A4623; "Quacker Factory Novelty Chenille Robe," with QVC item
number A4629; and "Quacker Factory Whimsical Chenille Robe," with
QVC item number A2202. Each robe has a product care label which has
"Quacker Factory" and "100% cotton" on the front and the QVC item
number on the back.

RADIO CONTROL AIRPLANES CAN OVERHEAT
Estes-Cox Corp. of Penrose, Colo., is recalling Radio Control
Model Airplanes (Models 4153 and 4161) with Lithium Polymer
Batteries sold nationwide from December 2006 to February 2007. The
airplanes can overheat while recharging the battery, posing a fire
hazard.
This recall involves Sky Squadron Model 4153 (sold at RadioShack)
and Sky Rangers Model 4161 (sold at Wal-Mart) radio-controlled
airplanes with rechargeable lithium batteries. Model 4153 is a blue
Corsair single-engine airplane with a Number 15 decal and a black
and blue transmitter/charger. Model 4161 is a red twin-engine plane
with an all-black transmitter/charger. The model numbers are on the
box and instructions.

INFLATOR PUMPS CAN EXPLODE
Stearns Inc., of St. Cloud, Minn., (Note: The original importer
Sevylor Inc., was recently acquired by Stearns Inc.) is recalling
West Marine Inflator Pumps sold nationwide from August 2003 to
January 2007. The inflator pumps can explode during use, ejecting
sharp plastic parts and posing a serious laceration hazard.
West Marine is printed on a white sticker on the top of the pump
housing. A second label contains a "caution" statement along with Ho
Lee Co., Ltd. and UL listing information. The manufacturer's model
number HB-183BG and the date code 1203 are also on the label.
Consumers are asked to return their inflator pump to nearest West

FRAMES FOR BICYCLES SOLD AT TARGET CAN CRACK
Dynacraft BSC Inc., of American Canyon, Calif., is recalling
Triax PK7 and Vertical PK7 Bicycles sold nationwide at Target stores
from September 2004 to February 2007. The bicycle frame can crack
while in use, causing the rider to lose control and suffer injuries
from a fall or collision.
This recall involves Triax PK7 (model 8509-24) and Vertical PK7
(model 8596-71T) 20-inch aluminum cushion framed bicycles. The model
numbers and manufacture dates are printed on a label affixed to the
bicycle frame.
Consumers should return the bicycles to the nearest Target store
to receive a full refund.

Regent Products Corp., River Grove, Ill., is recalling Stuffed
Fun Balls sold nationwide from June 2006 to March 2007. The stuffed
balls contain lead paint, which is toxic if ingested by young
children and can cause adverse health effects.
The Fun Ball is an orange stuffed ball toy that measures 4 inches
in diameter and designed to look like a basketball. The ball is
printed with colored numbers, letters and "Reg. #PA-10623(HK)."

NATIONWIDE RECALL OF OLIVES
Charlie Brown di Rutigliano & Figli S.r.l, in Bari, Italy, is
recalling Cerignola Olives, Nocellara Olives and Castelvetrano
Olives from distribution because they have the potential to be
contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a bacterium that can cause
a life-threatening illness or death. Consumers are warned not to use
the product even if it does not look or smell spoiled.
The recalled olives were distributed to wholesalers, who then
distributed them nationally to restaurants and retail stores.
This recall covers all sizes of cans, glass jars and pouches of
Cerignola Olives, Nocerella Olives and Castelvetrano Olives
containing codes beginning with the letter "G" followed by three or
four digits under the following brands: Borrelli, Bonta di Puglia,
Cento, Corrado's, Dal Raccolto, Flora, Roland and Vantia. Consumers
who have purchased these types of olives are urged to visit their
retailer to determine if the olives are from Charlie Brown di
Rutigliano & Figli S.r.l. If they are the recalled products, you
will be issued a full refund.
