Not all the animals are real at the fair.
Making a first-time appearance is the electric bull, conveniently
located by the beer tent at the south end of the fair. |

Then there are all those stuffed animals to
be purchased or won for that special someone. Check out the booths and the carnival games area.

Keep going and you'll eventually get to the
real animals in the barns at the north end of the grounds.
From the barns to the show arena, it's not
much different for people than being on the farm; the days are long
and the work is hard. |
Ever listened to the gentle sound of sheep
baaing as night settles? Or have you heard a hog wailing like a
baby when it can see its dinner just sitting there the other side of
the fence waiting to be mixed with water and served?

|
A whole bunch hogs hollering under a tent is a
deafening experience. But then the gentle lull of cows mooing eases
away the day's stresses.

|
Hot days are hard on people an animals alike.
The cool of late evening comes as a welcome relief.
