TOSHIBA COMPUTER BATTERIES CAN OVERHEAT
Toshiba
America Information Systems Inc. is recalling
rechargeable lithium-ion batteries containing Sony cells
used in Toshiba notebook computers sold nationwide from
January 2006 to April 2006. The lithium-ion batteries
can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
The
recalled lithium-ion batteries were sold with, or sold
separately to be used with the following notebook
computer models: Satellite A100, Satellite A105 and
Tecra A7. The battery model is printed on the battery. A
complete list of the recalled batteries can be found at

Sourcing, Inc. is recalling Garden Treasures Cloud 9
Beyond Chairs sold nationwide at Lowe’s stores from
December 2006 to April 2007. The chair can break when in
the reclined position, posing a fall hazard.
This
recall involves the Garden Treasures Cloud 9 Beyond
outdoor lounge chairs. The chairs are tan in color, have
a light steel frame, cloth seat, a pillow at the
headrest and an adjustable sun visor.
Consumers
should return the chairs to any Lowe’s retail outlet to
receive a full refund.

CHAIRS CAN COLLAPSE
Cost
Plus Inc., of Oakland, Calif. is recalling folding chairs sold at
Cost Plus World Market Stores nationwide from January 2007 to June
2007. The chairs can collapse due to faulty rivets, posing a fall
hazard.
Description: The metal painted folding chairs were sold in four
colors, red, blue, white and green. SKU numbers 390225, 390228,
390229 and 390230 are printed on the sales receipt.
Consumers should return the chairs to any Cost Plus World Market
store for a full refund.

RIDING STIRRUPS CAN
BREAK
Stübben North America, Inc. is recalling Steeltec Horseback Riding
Stirrups sold nationwide from August 2006 to May 2007. The stirrup's
hinges can break, posing a fall hazard.
The
recalled stirrups are attached by straps to a saddle and are used by
horseback riders to help them mount a horse or for support while
riding. They are made of stainless steel and have a hinge on each
side. "Stübben STEELtec" is printed on the stirrups. They were sold
in three sizes: 4 ½", 4 ¾", and 5".
Consumers should return the stirrups to Stübben to receive a full
refund.
