Wheat, soybean prices climb          Send a link to a friend

[August 24, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Wheat and soybean prices rose Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose 7.25 cents to $7.39 a bushel; December corn fell 2.25 cents to $3.62 a bushel; December oats fell 5.75 cents to $2.5825 a bushel; November soybeans jumped 11.25 cents to $8.5825 a bushel.

Beef futures rose, while pork futures ended mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 1.38 cents to close at 96.85 cents a pound; September feeder cattle rose 0.77 cent to $1.1732 a pound; October lean hogs rose 0.67 cent to 68.47 cents a pound; February pork bellies ended flat at 94.02 cents a pound.
