According to the National
Weather Service, the current timeline for the possible severe
weather is as follows:
A storm system moving west-southwest out of Missouri, traveling
40-50 mph, should interact with moisture over central Illinois.
The storms should reach the Interstate 55 corridor by 3 p.m.
Friday and exit the state by 7 p.m. Straight-line winds in the
60-80 mph range will accompany these storms.
Spin-up tornadoes will be possible on the leading edge of the
storms.
Monitor the
National Weather Service or commercial stations as this
dangerous situation develops.
