[August 27, 2007]  (AP) The remnants of Hurricane Dean were expected to bring more rain to the flood-weary Midwest on Monday, and showers and thunderstorms were expected from the Carolinas to Florida.

Some of Dean's moisture was expected to linger in the West, causing thunderstorms throughout the Four Corners states and in southern California and Nevada.

West of this area, little wet weather was expected in the region.

In the East, a few showers and thunderstorms were possible across the Carolinas and south into Florida.

Temperatures in the lower 48 states Sunday ranged from a low of 33 degrees at Embarrass, Minn., to a high of 118 degrees at Death Valley, Calif.
