[August 30, 2007]  BARTONVILLE -- Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating a home repair fraud scheme that involved Illini Siding and Windows out of Bartonville. From June 2006 through February 2007, the owners of Illini Siding and Windows continued to solicit and accept payment for home repair work and improvements without performing the work that was paid for by the customers.

Several victims have come forward; however, law enforcement believes there are many other victims who have yet to come forward and make a report.

A task force has been established by officers from the Illinois State Police, Bartonville Police Department, Knox County Sheriff's Department, Tazewell County Sheriff's Department and the Investigation Division of the Illinois Attorney General's Office.

If anyone believes they are a victim of this home repair scheme, they are encouraged to contact either the Bartonville Police Department at 309-697-2323 or the Illinois State Police Zone 4 investigations office at 309-693-5181.
