[December 08, 2007]  WAYNESVILLE -- Louis E. Granacher died on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at his home.

Graveside Services for Mr. Granacher will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville with Mr. Tony Billingsley officiating.

Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Granacher is survived by his wife of 49 years : Phyllis of Waynesville, his daughters: Laurie E. (Tom) Sanders, Page E. (Douglas) Wood all of Normal, 5 Grandchildren: Rachel (Michael) Lockett of Minnesota, Louis Sanders, Elizabeth Sanders, Tyler Sanders all of Normal, 2 Great grandchildren: Michael Lockett and Emma Lockett.

Mr. Granacher was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Mr. Granacher was born on January 9, 1935 in Bloomington the son of John M. and Naomi P. Morgan Granacher Sr. He married Phyllis Park on May 30, 1958 in Colfax, Illinois. She survives.

Mr. Granacher retired form Wallace Computer Service in Clinton. Mr. Granacher enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, avid Nascar fan and Cub fan.

Memorials may be made to either the Waynesville Fire and Rescue Department or to the McLean Christian Church.
