Annie Sheley was second in radio speaking and third in special
occasion speaking. Todd Schumacher was third in original comedy, and
Janel Filbeck finished fourth in oratory. Kaylyn Engelhardt and
Kelly Knecht placed sixth in humorous duet, and Taylor Muck was a
finalist in verse. Coach's comments: "This tournament is always a
good test for our team, and they rose to the occasion. We had more
finalists this year than ever before, and of the six, four of them
took first-place ranks in the final rounds. All in all, we are
developing nicely and have a very solid group of speakers."
