Forums set to hear from the aging population, their family caregivers and grandparents raising grandchildren

[JAN. 24, 2007]  SPRINGFIELD -- The Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland has scheduled three public forums to obtain input to be used in the development of the Area Agency’s Fiscal Year 2008-2010 Area Plan. The purpose of the forums is to provide an opportunity for all interested individuals to express opinions and concerns about the needs of older adults (60 and over) and family caregivers, including grandparents raising grandchildren.

The Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland, located in Springfield at 3100 Montvale Drive, is a private, not-for-profit planning and service agency designated by the Illinois Department on Aging to administer federal and state funds in the development and coordination of programs and supportive services of older adults and family caregivers. The Area Agency serves the counties of Cass, Christian, Greene, Jersey, Logan, Macoupin, Mason, Menard, Morgan, Montgomery, Sangamon, and Scott.
