Wednesday and Wednesday night As in the past several days,
thunderstorms are expected to redevelop late Wednesday afternoon and
evening to the north of Interstate 74. A few of these storms may
become severe, with the storms organizing into a line later in the
evening and moving across central Illinois. The main threat from
these storms will be damaging winds, with large hail possible. A
moderate risk has been identified over the area for these
thunderstorms late Wednesday afternoon and into the evening.
Additional rainfall Wednesday and Wednesday night over already
rain-soaked areas could lead to localized flooding.
