Ribbon-cut set at Scully Park          Send a link to a friend

[June 01, 2007]  Saturday marks the opening of the Route 66 bicycle trail. Join thousands of bicyclists who will be hopping on Route 66 on Saturday. Local bicycle and outdoor enthusiasts will gather at 8 a.m. in Scully Park.

The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will celebrate the event with a ribbon-cutting.

Then those with bikes can ride north or south to the nearby connecting communities of Atlanta and Bloomington or Elkhart and Springfield. More fit and ready riders will find plenty of company on the trail that runs between Chicago and St. Louis.
