Schroeder wraps up his career with great honors. He was presented
the Teacher of the Year award from Wal-Mart and Sam's Club at
Plymouth, Wis., in May.
The award also meant something for the school where he has
taught science for 38 years. Riverview Middle School at Plymouth
was given $1,000.
Schroeder first attended a country school in Logan County in
the late '40s and early '50s. Two of his former teachers from
the country school still live in this area and were honored by
his accomplishment.
