[June 30, 2007]  SPRINGFIELD -- RMD Gallery & Framing Studio, United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln, and several community partners have joined forces to spotlight the artistic abilities of children and adults with disabilities as part of the Art Stars: Life Without Limits program. Beginning Monday, artwork created by children and adults with disabilities will be on display at RMD Gallery & Framing Studio, 210 S. Sixth St. in Springfield.

The community is encouraged to support these local artists by viewing the art exhibit at RMD Gallery and by helping select a "people's choice" award winner, celebrating life without limits.

On Thursday, there will be an Art Walk in downtown Springfield showcasing the talents of these and other artists throughout the community. Downtown businesses and galleries will be spotlighting the arts in Springfield and will be open through 8:30 that evening. In conjunction with the Capitol City Celebration, the public is invited to help celebrate independence by creating chalk murals on the downtown sidewalks with the assistance of local artists during the Art Walk. There will also be live music and art demonstrations in the downtown area.
