'Peter and the Wolf' presented this weekend

[March 01, 2007]  SPRINGFIELD -- On Saturday, the Illinois Symphony Orchestra will present its annual Sneakers and Jeans family matinee series concert in Bloomington, with "Peter and the Wolf" and "Toy Symphony."

The concert begins at 2 p.m. with fun pre-concert activities for children preschool through elementary. The pre-concert activities begin at 1.

Maestra Karen Lynne Deal, conductor of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, will present these two children's pieces in a delightful interactive style.

Please consider giving your children a fun-filled introduction to classical music presented by outstanding professional musicians.

This exciting event will take place at Trinity Lutheran School on the south side of Bloomington.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and can be purchased at the following locations:
