Schools are divided into four classes by school size. Thirty-two
teams (the top eight teams of each category) entered the first round
and semifinal play this weekend.
Logan County had three schools enter in two classes. All three
Logan County teams are still standing to enter play for state
championship, second or third places on Tuesday.
Shooting for titles will be 7-1A Hartsburg-Emden and 7-2A
Chester-East Lincoln.
Semifinal play in 7-2A pitted Mount Pulaski against Chester-East
Lincoln, and the C-EL win knocked Mount Pulaski (19-5) into play for
third place.
Also entering play for a state title is Stanford Olympia in 7-4A.
