The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen
center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except
holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday
and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive
director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Bingo sponsored by S. Clara's Manor St. Clara's Manor will
sponsor the bingo games on Thursday at The Oasis, beginning at 1
p.m. Come join the fun and win some prizes!
Food distribution
The Self Help and Resource Exchange presents an exceptional
opportunity to purchase quality food for a very reasonable donation.
Distribution date is Friday and the pickup time is 4 to 5 p.m. SHARE
is an outreach program sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Peoria.

Soup's on
The Oasis will serve soup on Monday, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The
donation will be 50 cents a bowl.
Bunco
The bunco games will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday at the senior
center. Refreshments will be provided by Marilyn Armburst from
Regions Bank. Last month's winner was Marjorie Reiners.

Breakfast bingo
The Oasis is featuring breakfast bingo on March 29, beginning at
8:30 a.m. The donation is $3.50. Following breakfast is bingo,
sponsored by Liberty Village. You may purchase your breakfast bingo
ticket at the senior center or call 732-6132. The deadline is
Tuesday.
Tuesday lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch for March 27 features vegetable soup, cheese
sandwich, dessert and a drink for $3.75, or $3.25 if you stay and
play cards. Reservation deadline is Monday noon.
Winners for the week announced
Linda Hughes won the weekday pinochle card game. Irene Tumilty
and Wally Reifsteck were the weekend winners for pinochle. Dorothy
Oltmanns was the winner at five-in-one. The rummy winners were Betty
Burger, Ruth Barry and Dorothy Oltmanns. Congratulations!
