Britney Cowan was named April Senior-of-the-Month at Mount
Pulaski High School. She is the daughter of Chris Cowan and Janet
Sampson, both of Mount Pulaski.
During high school Britney has been involved in FFA, earning the
Greenhand Degree, Chapter Degree, Scholar Pin and State FFA Degree.
She has also participated in Drama Club, Spanish Club, yearbook,
student council and the prom committee. She is a member of National
Honor Society.
In the community, she is a member of the Latham United Methodist
Youth Group and has worked with the group work camps.
Britney plans to attend the University of Illinois and major in
ag education.

Leanna
Gleason has been named May Senior-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High
School. She is the daughter of Rob and Nina Gleason of Elkhart.
Leanna has been a four-year member of the volleyball and softball
teams. She has participated in Drama Club and the Spirit Squad and
has been a member of the Junior Engineering Technical Society design
team. She is a member of National Honor Society.
In the community, she has helped with toy drives, food collection
and the bread line. She has also participated in four mission trips
through her church.
Leanna plans to attend Heartland Community College to study
radiology. While at Heartland, she will be a member of the softball
team.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Mount Pulaski
Pharmacy and Johnson's Food Center. Monthly winners receive $100
savings bonds and are eligible to compete for the $1,000
Senior-of-the-Year award.
