The Storm Prediction Center in
Norman, Okla., has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect
until 6 p.m. Tuesday for central Illinois.
Forecasts indicate that areas south of Interstate 72 and east of
I-55 are most likely to see severe weather in the afternoon. Strong
winds are the primary threat.
