[May 22, 2007]  RIVER FOREST -- Zion Lutheran School participated in the Illinois Lutheran State Track Meet at Concordia University-Chicago this past weekend.

The Zion Lutheran boys finished second in state, with 45 points.

Event results for Zion participants are as follows:

Boys

Joseph Mangano, state champion

Joseph Mangano -- 1st, discus, 119'8"; 7th, shot put, 35'2"

Brandon Miller -- 2nd, 800-meter, 2:19.58; 9th, high jump, 4'10"

Billy Campbell -- 4th, 100-meter, 12.64; 4th, shot put, 37'3"

Aaron Klemm -- 5th, long jump, 17'9"; 9th, 1,600-meter, 5:23.25

Zach Leonard -- 8th, high jump, 4'10"

Will Podbelsek -- 12th, 1,600-meter, 5:34.34; 24th, triple jump, 29'00.5"

Christian Arteman -- competed in the 100-meter and 200-meter

4x800-meter (Miller, Klemm, Leonard, Podbelsek) -- 3rd, 10.01.10, new school record

4x100-meter (Arneaud, Campbell, Miller, Klemm) -- 5th, 52.08
