to Seniors, There's Plenty to Do at the Rec Center This Fall

Junior Railer Boys Basketball registration is
going on now. This league is for boys in first through sixth grades.
Get graded on dribbling, shooting, passing, one-on-one and three-on
three this Saturday at the Lincoln Park District Sports Center.

Cost is $40 per player for in-district residents and $20 for each
additional player from the same family. Games are played on
Saturdays, beginning in December, and the season will run through
February. Practices will be at the coach's discretion. As fall
approaches and the temperatures drop, we all need to think about
exercising indoors. We offer numerous levels of opportunities for
people of all ages and abilities. If you are a senior citizen (we
start them at the young age of 60 out here!) use our indoor walking
track anytime for just $1 per visit. If you have a membership, there
is no charge. On the first and third Wednesday mornings from 7 to 9,
we'll have the coffeepot on, along with orange juice and muffins.

check blood pressures and provide other information of interest on
senior health issues
As we look for ways to socialize, let's get fit together! Join
one of our group fitness classes today. We offer a variety of
classes to fit your schedule and fitness needs, including step and
floor aerobics, Pilates, weight training, spin (stationary cycling),
plus so much more. Group fitness classes are fun, motivating, safe
and effective. Morning classes are offered Monday through Saturday
and begin at 8:30. Evening classes are offered Monday through
Thursday and begin at 5:30 and 6:30. All classes are free for
members having a circuit pass or full access. Schedules are
available at the front or back desks.

Congratulations to our Halloween outdoor home decorating contest
winners and participants. Honorable mention went to Duane and Laura
Starks of 1286 Nicholson Road. Third place ended in a tie between 19
Ophir Ave. and 108 Pekin St. The Snyder family of 528 Sixth St. took
second place with their display. First place went to Don and Jan
Sielaff of 145 10th St.
We plan to host a Christmas outdoor home decorating contest in
December. Watch this column and our online site for more information

A skate park planning and strategy meeting is being planned now
for the adult volunteers. After that we will bring our young people
in and renew efforts in fundraising and development. Funds that have
already been raised have been set aside as we get closer to our
goal. With a lot of volunteers we can make our dream a reality.
