Turner is a senior inventory management analyst for Caterpillar
Logistics in Morton. "As an inventory analyst, I am responsible each
month for the worldwide forecast of billions of dollars of inventory
for Caterpillar," said Turner.
"The foresight and long-range planning necessary in corporate
America have prepared me in ways that will greatly benefit the
economic outlook of Logan County," he said. "Many different factors
affect economic growth, and it is crucial that the board have
someone with a sound financial background."
"Logan County -- Lincoln especially -- is ideal for many
different types of potential new businesses: distribution,
manufacturing, logistics, among others," he said. "The county board
needs better long-term planning so we don't continue to lose jobs
and opportunities to other cities and counties that don't have our
great location."
Turner was raised in Lincoln and graduated from New Wine
Christian High School. He currently volunteers at the Lincoln Youth
Center and has traveled to numerous foreign nations for various
humanitarian aid trips. He and his wife, Sarah, live in Lincoln and
are active at Neighbors to Nations Community Church.
Turner received a bachelor's degree in economics from the
University of Illinois in 2004 and is currently working on a
master's in business administration at Benedictine University
through Springfield College in Illinois.
