TOASTERS SOLD BY QVC 

Salton Inc. and QVC are recalling Cook's Essential Electric Toasters sold nationwide through QVC from January 2003 to June 2003. The toaster can turn on without bread in the slots and ignite items placed on top of it, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves the "Cook's Essential" four-slice wide slot electric toasters model CET 401. These toasters are made of stainless steel and measure 12 inches long, 13 inches wide and 8 inches high. Each toaster has "Cook's Essentials Classic Look Toaster, Model: CET401" printed on a plate located on the underside of the toaster.

TIMBERLAND BOOTS 

Timberland Company is recalling Timberland PRO Direct Attach Steel Toe Boots sold nationwide from September 2005 to September 2007. The boots could fail to provide the intended protection against compression and impact, posing the risk of a foot injury. 

This recall involves the Timberland PRO Direct Attach Steel Toe Boots with model numbers 26002 (wheat nubuck leather), 65016 (wheat nubuck leather), 26038 (black full-grain leather), and 38021 (brown oiled full-grain leather). The model number is printed on a green loop tag on the inside of the boot, just below the size. The boots have a four digit date code ending in 35 and beginning with the numbers 25 through 45 (e.g. 2535, 2635…4535) which can also be found on the loop tag below the model number.

HONEYWELL GAS VALVES 

Honeywell International is recalling Gas Valves Used in Decorative Fireplaces and Stoves sold nationwide from April 2004 to August 2007. The activation knob on the valve can be left in a position between OFF and PILOT, which can cause the pilot gas to leak and accumulate prior to burner ignition. This can pose the risk of thermal burns to consumers when they light the pilot of the fireplace or stove. 

This recall involves gas valves used in liquid-propane-fueled decorative fireplaces and Franklin-type stoves. These stoves and fireplaces have direct pressure relief vents via a spring-loaded door.

RATTLES SOLD AT TARGET STORES 

Target is recalling Plush Boys Rattles sold at Target stores nationwide from March 2007 to May 2007. The recalled rattles can break open releasing the small beads inside, posing a choking hazard. 

The recalled rattles were sold in three styles: a white baseball with red stitching, a brown football with white stitching, and an orange basketball with black stitching. The tag sewn into the rattle contains: "Reg. No. PA5706(CN), Distributed by Double Nice Co Ltd. 3f-2 No. 325, Wu Chuan Road, Taichung, Taiwan, Made in China." 

Consumers should return the rattles to any Target store for a full refund.

SPORTS AUTHORITY WATER BOTTLES 

Sports Authority is recalling Alpine Design Aluminum Water Bottles sold nationwide from April 2006 to September 2007. The surface paint on the water bottle contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. 

This recall involves the Alpine Design aluminum water bottles sold at Sports Authority. The water bottles are sold in different colors and measure between six and 10 ½ inches tall. The water bottles are silver, blue, red, blue with pink flowers, red with the depiction of a mouse, or blue with the depiction of a zebra. "Alpine Design" is painted on the water bottle. 

Consumers should return the water bottles to a Sports Authority store for a full refund.

KEY CHAINS SOLD BY DOLLAR GENERAL CONTAIN LEAD 

Dollar General Merchandising Inc. is recalling key chains sold at Dollar General Stores nationwide from June 2005 to August 2007. The key chains contain high levels of lead. 

This recall involves key chains with a coiled cord and a metal charm with one of the following engraved words: "wisdom", "truth", "believe", "love", "hope", or "dream". The key chains were sold on a cardboard tab with floral designs and the words "Metal Keyring" and "$1" on the front. 

Consumers should return the key chains to the store where purchased for a refund or replacement product.

WOODEN TOYS RECALLED BY KB TOYS 

KB Toys Inc. is recalling Wooden Pull-Along Alphabet & Math Blocks Wagons, Wooden Pull-Along Learning Blocks Wagons, 10-in-1 Activity Learning Carts, and Flip-Flop Alphabet Blocks sold nationwide from August 2005 to September 2007. Surface paints on the toys can contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

BABY EINSTEIN BLOCKS CONTAIN LEAD           

Kids II Inc. is recalling Baby Einstein Discover & Play Color Blocks sold nationwide from June 2007 to September 2007. Surface paint on the blue block contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. 

The recall involves the blue block included with the Baby Einstein Discover & Play Color Blocks, Model 30726 and Model 30881. The blocks are made of soft textures and come in different colors. Only date codes of GE7, GF7, and GG7 are included in this recall. The model number and date code are printed on the labels affixed to the green-colored block.

EVEREADY TOY FLASHLIGHTS CONTAIN LEAD 

Eveready Battery Co. is recalling "Pirates of the Caribbean" Medallion Squeeze Lights sold nationwide from September 2006to October 2007. Surface paints on the leather strap attached to the medallion squeeze light contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. 

The recall involves "Pirates of the Caribbean" medallion squeeze lights, which is gold-colored and about 1¾-inches across. It is attached to a leather strap and metal clasp.

DOLLAR GENERAL TUMBLERS CONTAIN LEAD 

Dollar General Merchandising Inc. is recalling Frankenstein Tumblers sold nationwide in September 2007. Surface paint on the center of the eyes of some of the cups can contain high levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. 

The recall includes green, plastic, Frankenstein head-shaped tumblers. 

Consumers return the tumbler to the store where purchased for a refund or replacement product.

DECORATING SETS SOLD AT TOYS "R" US CONTAIN LEAD           

CKI Toys is recalling Children's Toy Decorating Sets sold at Toys "R" Us stores nationwide from May 2007 to September 2007. Surface paint on the back of the recalled mirror contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. 

These Totally Me! – Funky Room Décor Sets are designed to make various room décor projects and includes a clock, clock movement, satin fabric, round box, door hanger, mirror, paper mirror frame, glitter glue, sticker sheet, foam shapes, sequins, seed beads, elastic cord, fabric flowers, and gem stones. The part containing lead is the mirror. 

Consumers should return the item to the nearest Toys "R" Us store for store credit.

BOOKMARKS AND JOURNALS CONTAIN LEAD 

Antioch Publishing is recalling bookmarks and journals sold nationwide from March 2005 to October 2007. Paint on the spiral metal bindings of the journals, clip of the bookmarks and the clear coating on the marquis bookmarks and bracelets contain excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint ban. 

This recall involves various designs of bookmarks and journals from Antioch Publishing's Signature Collection. A complete list of the recalled items can be found at www.recalls.org.

ELECTRIC SCOOTERS

Razor USA LLC is recalling Razor® E300 Electric Scooters sold nationwide from January 2006 to October 2006. A weld can break causing the handlebar to detach. This can cause the rider to lose control and fall from the scooter.

The recall involves Model E300 Electric Scooters, which are powered by battery-operated motors. The model number appears on the tube that connects the head tube to the deck. The recalled scooters are blue or silver. This recall includes only products with barcodes beginning in 100620-03 through -09. Products with other barcodes or no barcode are not included in this recall. The barcode can be located on the steering stem, the battery tray, the charger, and the product’s packaging.

AIR PURIFIERS

P3 International is recalling IonizAir™ Table Top Air Purifiers sold nationwide from January 2003 to July 2004.The air purifier’s cartridge can overheat, posing a risk of fire.

The recalled air purifier is a tabletop model that is about 6" x 3 1/2" x 11 1/4". The unit has a removable cartridge with a silver-colored handle. The recall involves model number P4620 with lot numbers beginning with either 03 or 04 or having no lot number. The lot number is located on the bottom of the air purifier.
