Soybean futures advance, wheat falls       Send a link to a friend

[March 19, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Corn and soybean prices climbed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade, while wheat prices slipped.

Wheat for December delivery fell 14.5 cents to $8.455 a bushel; December corn rose 2.75 cents to $3.425 a bushel; December oats rose 1 cent to $2.715 a bushel; November soybeans jumped 24.75 cents to $9.5025 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures ended mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle rose 0.25 cent to 96.5 cents a pound; November feeder cattle fell 0.65 cent to $1.1325 a pound; December lean hogs added 0.25 cent to 59.72 cents a pound; February pork bellies shed 0.28 cent to 86.72 cents a pound.
