Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Broder at UIS on Thursday

[October 15, 2007]  SPRINGFIELD -- Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David S. Broder, national political correspondent for The Washington Post, will be at the University of Illinois at Springfield on Thursday to give a speech entitled "Where have all the leaders gone?" The presentation will begin at 8 p.m. in the Sangamon Auditorium.

Broder reports on the national political scene for The Washington Post and writes a twice-weekly column. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1973 for distinguished commentary and appears on numerous national television news panel shows.

Broder's presentation, the latest in the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation's Jim Edgar Lecture Series, is sponsored by the library foundation and the University of Illinois at Springfield.
