[October 30, 2007]  Three members from the Zonta Club of Lincoln were among 130 members from 34 clubs in Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin who attended the organization's district conference Oct. 12-13 in Madison, Wis. The 34 clubs donated over $175,000 to their local areas and $65,000 to the International Zonta Foundation.

Mary Conrady, Mary Thomas George and Gail Nunnery were the local attendees. Nunnery was on the ballot for district treasurer.

During the conference there was a memorial service for deceased members, which included local member Kathy Elliot.

The Zonta Club of Lincoln raises funds for its annual scholarships and service projects through a turkey dinner. This year's dinner is scheduled for Sunday at Lincoln Community High School, with serving from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

For more information regarding the dinner, contact Judy Awe at 732-4758.
