4-H photography exhibits chosen for display at state 4-H office          Send a link to a friend

[September 10, 2007]  CHAMPAIGN -- Zack Huffer, 16, of Lincoln, received a superior rating on his photography project at the 2007 Illinois State Fair and has the honor of being one of nine exhibits chosen for a photography display. Zack's "Icy Fence" photograph will be on display at the state 4-H office on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus for the next year.

Zack has been an active member of the Wide-A-Wake 4-H Club for eight years.

This is the seventh year for the state exhibit, which showcases the outstanding talents of Illinois 4-H members. The nine photography projects were selected from 223 entries.

The following is a list of the nine exhibitors and the counties where they are enrolled in 4-H:

  • Jeana Brandmeyer, Clinton County

  • Lisa Frichtl, Jasper County

  • Victoria Girot, Jo Daviess County

  • Noel Hartmann, DeKalb County

  • Zack Huffer, Logan County

  • Brooke Lyford, Winnebago County

  • Ashley Paul, Bond County

  • Lydia Stemmler, Jersey County

Nationally, 4-H is the largest out-of-school educational program for youth. The 4-H program seeks to assist youth in acquiring knowledge, forming attitudes and developing life skills that will enable them to become caring, competent and contributing members of society.
