Homicide victim found Labor Day weekend near Monmouth identified

[September 15, 2007]  MACOMB -- The Illinois State Police, Warren County Sheriff's Department, Warren County coroner, Metro Nashville Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have identified a homicide victim found on Sept. 2 approximately seven miles east of Monmouth, near U.S. Route 34 and Cameron Road in Warren County. The victim was identified as Marvin Davis, age 41, from Nashville, Tenn.

Investigators are requesting anyone with information concerning where Davis may have been from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2 to contact the Illinois State Police, 309-837-5833; Warren County Sheriff's Department, 309-734-8506; Warren County Crime Stoppers, 309-734-9363; Metro Nashville Police Department, 615-862-8600; or their local law enforcement agency.

No additional information concerning this ongoing investigation is being released at this time. Investigating law enforcement agencies thank all media outlets for the assistance they provided while investigators were attempting to identify Davis.
