The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen
center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except
holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday
and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive
director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Muncheon Luncheon The senior center will have a Muncheon
Luncheon on Thursday and again on Monday. Cook's choice. Suggested
donation is $1.
Extension service to sponsor bingo
The Logan County Extension Unit will sponsor our Thursday bingo
at The Oasis. Games begin at 1 p.m. Come join the fun and win
nutritional food items!
Alzheimer support group to meet
The Alzheimer support group will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the
senior center library. No reservation is necessary. The group
provides support and information for caregivers and extended family.
It is facilitated by a coordinator from Maple Ridge Care Centre.
Oasis board meeting
The Oasis board will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday. The meeting is open
to the public. To schedule any agenda times, the board must receive
notification in writing on or before the fifth day of the month
prior to a meeting date.
Memories class
The monthly Memories class is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Friday in
the senior center library. No reservation is necessary. Participants
are asked to bring their own pen and paper to learn skills needed to
preserve memories for families and friends.

SHARE
The Self Help and Resource Exchange program distribution day is
Friday, between 4 and 5:30 p.m., at the senior center. The SHARE
program is an outreach sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Peoria.

Tuesday lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch for Sept. 25 features tater tot casserole,
carrot and celery sticks, bread and butter, dessert, and drink for
$3.75, or $3.25 if you stay and play cards. Reservation deadline is
Monday.
Bingo at the Rec
The Tuesday night bingo special at the Lincoln Park District will
be "Package Night." Purchase a $20 computer and get a package for
$5. Doors open at 5:30 and games start at 6:50 p.m.
Winners for the week announced
Helen Cart and Henry Warnisher were weekday pinochle winners.
Larry Van Bibber and Marjorie Reiners were the weekend pinochle
winners. Ella Lee Graney and Betty Burger were the winners at
five-in-one. Dorothy Oltmanns was the rummy winner. Congratulations!
