Agriculture Futures Rise on CBOT

[April 03, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures closed higher Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery jumped 41.5 cents to $9.365 a bushel; May corn added 11.75 cents to $5.9575 a bushel; May oats rose 9 cents to $3.97 a bushel; May soybeans gained 32 cents to $12.43 a bushel.

Beef futures traded lower and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle fell 1.20 cents to 86.20 cents a pound; April feeder cattle lost 1.52 cents to 97.60 cents a pound; April lean hogs slipped 0.40 cent to 55.60 cents a pound; May pork bellies rose 0.80 cent to 67.87 cents a pound.
