The Pat O'Neill Student of the Month
Recognition Award for March goes to two very deserving people: Amy
Ramlow, a senior at Lincoln Community High School, and Caleb Sutton,
also a senior at Lincoln Community High School. Both have strong
academic achievements and community involvement.

Amy is the daughter of Debra and Dennis Ramlow, both
of Lincoln. She was named a 2008-2009 Illinois State Scholar,
received high honors all four years, was on the all-conference honor
roll and is a National Honor Society member. She is captain of the
varsity basketball cheerleading squad, president of the Math Club,
served in student government and chaired the publicity committee for
homecoming. She is also involved with the Fellowship of Christian
Athletes, trick-or-treating for canned goods, Relay For Life, blood
drive, entertaining at nursing homes, and is the youth group
treasurer and group leader at Zion Lutheran Church.
Caleb is the son of Arthur and Gwenda Sutton of
Lincoln. He sings the national anthem for athletic events, is a
member and soloist in choir and contest choir at LCHS, had two lead
songs in "Grease," is a letter winner as well as a state finalist in
the 3-point showdown, is a member and officer of Fellowship of
Christian Athletes, and has been an honor roll student for the last
three years. He is also the photographer and photo editor of the
LCHS Yearbook Club.

The Pat O'Neill Student of the Month Recognition
Award for April goes to two very deserving people: Chrissy Schonauer,
a senior at Lincoln Community High School, and Sarah Schneider, a
senior at Hartsburg-Emden High School. Both have strong academic
achievements and community involvement.
Chrissy is the daughter of Carrie and Joe Schonauer
of Lincoln. She is a four-year basketball player, member of the
Central State all-conference team for 2007, high honor student, an
active member of Holy Family Church, member of the Leaf Club and Pep
Club, and exhibits strong educational and athletic leadership
throughout her daily routine.
Sarah is the daughter of Jennifer and Mike Schneider
of Hartsburg. She is working at Best Friends Animal Hospital and has
participated four years in volleyball, pep band, Spanish Club and
Senior Beta. She performed in musical plays for three years and was
a member of Future Educators of America for one year. She has been a
student council member and is currently vice president of the senior
class. She is ranked third in her class with a grade-point average
of 3.7 and was nominated for Who's Who Among High School Students.
She is a volunteer at the local YMCA.
