	 Showers were forecast for the Northeast, the Southeast and the 
	Mid-Atlantic. Severe weather could pop up along the North Carolina coast. Mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures were expected in the West. The Southwest was to continue getting a break from monsoon conditions, though temperatures were likely to top 110 degrees. Increasing clouds, cooler temperatures and scattered showers were forecast for the Pacific Northwest.
