Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[December 10, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were lower Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

RestaurantWheat for March delivery slipped a penny to $4.895 a bushel; March corn fell 2.25 cents to $3.2775 a bushel; March oats were flat at $2.08 a bushel; and January soybeans lost 7.5 cents to $8.13 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures also traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle lost 0.4 cent to 82.27 cents a pound; January feeder cattle fell 1.35 cents to 86.55 cents a pound; February lean hogs were unchanged at 64.12 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 1.95 cents to 87.5 cents a pound.
