Lottery for local ballot positions Dec. 18

[December 11, 2008]  Public notice: There will be a lottery on Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m. for ballot positioning of the three Republican candidates for the office of Lincoln mayor and for positioning of the two Republican candidates each for Ward 3 alderman and Ward 4 alderman.

These candidates filed their petitions simultaneously on the first day of filing for nomination in the Feb. 24, 2009, consolidated primary election. The filing period began Monday at 9 a.m. in city clerk's office.

The ballot positioning lottery will be conducted in the city clerk's office, 700 Broadway St. in Lincoln, and is open to the public.
