[February 18, 2008]  MIDDLETOWN -- Middletown 4-H had a meeting Feb. 3 at the New Holland-Middletown School.

The meeting was called to order by the president, Kelsey Jurgens. Roll call was answered by "what or who is your favorite valentine." There were 16 members present and six guests.

The secretary's and treasurer's reports by Chase Farmer and Troy Rawlings were read and approved.

The 4-H pledge was led by Katie Tucker. The American Pledge was led by Troy Rawlings.

Old business discussed was the trip to the weather station in Lincoln. We will do this next fall. We also discussed that enrollment forms need to be turned in. The 4-H Foundation spaghetti supper was Feb. 10 at the Knights of Columbus in Lincoln. Also discussed was the Grandparent/Senior Citizen Luncheon scheduled for March 1 at the Middletown School. Fliers will be passed out so we can get reservations made. Members were asked to bring items to display that they have made for their projects.

New business discussed was going to Channel 20 and the Ronald McDonald House. We will sponsor a safety poster contest for grades K-5 at the school.

Federation news was provided by Kyle Farmer.

Talks were given by Rachel Allen, Katie Tucker, Kyle Farmer, Elizabeth Allen, Chase Farmer, and Hannal Allen.

Refreshments were provided by the Harnackes, Tuckers and Troy Rawlings.
