[February 18, 2008]  The following recalls were issued by various federal and state agencies during the week ending Feb. 16: 

GE GAS DRYERS 

GE Consumer & Industrial is recalling Gas Clothes Dryers sold nationwide from September 2006 to October 2007. A short circuit in the dryer's wiring poses a shock hazard to consumers with ungrounded dryers. 

GE gas dryers model number DWXR463GGWW with serial numbers starting with AM, TL, SL, VL, and ZL are included in this recall. To find the model and serial numbers, open the dryer door and look in the upper right corner, in the area that was covered by the door.

TEA LIGHT CANDLES 

Christmas Tree Shops Inc. is recalling "Embers" Tea Light Candles sold at Christmas Tree Shops in New England and Mid-Atlantic regions from January 2004 to November 2007. The tea light candles have a clear, plastic shell that can melt or ignite, posing a fire and burn hazard.

Consumers should return the candles to any Christmas Tree Shops location for a full refund.

HELICOPTER TOYS 

Soft Air USA Inc. is recalling Remote-Controlled Helicopter Toys sold nationwide from May 2007 to December 2007. The rechargeable battery contained inside the helicopter can catch fire during charging, igniting the helicopter and nearby combustible materials. This poses a burn or fire hazard. 

This recall involves the remote-controlled helicopter toy "Fun2Fly Microcopter" with item number 91001. The helicopter is made of foam and plastic and measures about 6 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches. The transmitter measures about 4 1/2 inches by 5 inches. "Fun2Fly" and "Microcopter" are printed on the packaging. The item number is printed above the UPC label. 

Consumers should return the helicopter to the retailer where it was purchased for a full refund.

BOYS' SWEATSHIRTS 

Siegfried & Parzifal Inc. is recalling Karl Kani Boys' Fleece Hoody Sweatshirts sold nationwide from July 2007 to October 2007. The garments have a drawstring through the hood which poses a strangulation hazard. 

Karl Kani boys full-zip fleece hoody sweatshirts with model numbers MB7808, MB7809, MB7810, MB7812. The model numbers were printed on the original hang tag. The words "Kani Polo" are printed on the sweatshirt neck tag. The sweatshirts were sold in various colors including, blue, gray, black, red and brown in boy's sizes small (8-10) and medium (12-14). 

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstring from the sweatshirts or contact Siegfried & Parzifal at (866) 268-2868 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday for a refund. More info at www.recalls.org.

BASSETTBABY CRIBS 

Bassettbaby is recalling Wendy Bellissimo Hidden Hills Collection Drop-Side Cribs sold nationwide from November 2007 to January 2008. Spindles on the drop-side of the crib could loosen creating a gap that poses an entrapment and strangulation hazard. 

This recall involves a full-size, drop-side crib from the Wendy Bellissimo Hidden Hills collection, model number 5446-0504. The model number is located on the bottom rail of the headboard. The crib was sold in a Navajo Pine finish.

GIRL'S BRACELET SETS 

Mission City Press is recalling A Life of Faith Charm Bracelet Sets sold nationwide from October 2006 to November 2007. Surface paint on the pearl white beads of the bracelet, contains excessive levels of lead. 

The recalled bracelets have a silver-colored chain and silver-colored charms, including a Bible, angel, cross, heart, and praying hands. The bracelets were sold with clear, crystal and pearl white beads. 

Consumers should return the bracelets to the Mission City Press to receive a refund.

POLARIS EXPANDS RECALL OF ATVS 

Polaris Industries is recalling Polaris All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) sold nationwide from July 2004 to January 2008. The ATVs can have defective Electronic Control Modules (ECM) that overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to riders. 

This recall involves select 2005 through 2006 model Polaris Sportsman and Scrambler 500 ATVs. The model and serial numbers are printed on a decal attached to the front side of the radiator (Sportsman) or the top of the front cab cover (Scrambler 500). Serial numbers are permanently stamped into the left frame rail behind the left front wheel. A complete list of the recalled models can be found at www.recalls.org

POKEMON CARDS AND POPS

Sherwood Brands LLC is recalling approximately 400,000 packages of Pokémon® branded "Valentine Cards and Pops™" (Item# 073964209109 and Item# 073964289804), because of reports that metal fragments were found in two lollipops purchased in Florida. 

The products being recalled are packages of ten and thirty Pokémon branded Valentine cards and lollipops featuring a variety of characters.

Sherwood Brands is advising its distribution network to remove the Pokémon branded Valentine cards and lollipops from the shelves immediately. The product was sold at retailers nationwide.

Consumers who have purchased the above products are advised not to consume them and to return them to Sherwood Brands for a full refund. Send affected products to:
