[February 25, 2008]  The following recalls were issued by various federal and state agencies during the week ending Feb. 23: 

SPIDERMAN WATER BOTTLES 

Fast Forward LLC is recalling Spiderman Water Bottles sold exclusively at Sears stores nationwide from July 2007 to August 2007. Screws under the bottle's lid can come loose and fall into the cup, posing a choking hazard. 

The recalled plastic water bottles have a Spiderman® picture on the cup and a Spiderman® figure on the screw-on lid. The water bottle is red, white, blue, and black and measures nine inches high. 

Consumers should contact Fast Forward LLC at (877) 244-4433 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday for instructions on returning the water bottles for a full refund.

TOY CARS 

Dumar International USA is recalling Cinderella 12-Volt Electric Ride-On Vehicles sold at Wal-Mart stores nationwide from August 2005to February 2006. The wires under the hood of the car and/or in the battery compartment under the seat can short circuit, posing a fire and burn hazard. 

The electric ride-on toy resembles the Pontiac Solstice. It is light blue and has Cinderella graphics on the front and sides. "Pontiac Solstice" is printed on the back of the car. "Walt Disney's Cinderella Special Edition" is printed on the license plate. It is designed for children 4 to 7 years old.

EXTENSION LADDERS 

Louisville Ladder Inc. is recalling "Louisville/Davidson" and "Michigan" Brand Fiberglass Extension Ladders sold nationwide from September 2007 to December 2007. The extension or "fly" section can fail to lock, posing a fall hazard. 

The recalled ladders are Type I, IA, or II extension ladders with fiberglass rails and "D" shaped aluminum rungs. A complete list of the recalled models can be found at www.recalls.org

ELECTRIC HEATERS 

Aloha Housewares Inc. is recalling Portable Electric Heaters sold nationwide from August 2006 to November 2007. The portable electric heater can overheat and melt plastic parts, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves electric oscillating tower heaters with the name "Aloha Breeze" printed on the top. The white heaters have model number 02044 and dates codes 06/06, 06/07, 06/08 or 06/09. Model numbers and date codes are printed on the silver label located on the back of the heater, near the bottom.

GAS FURNACES 

Greenheck Fan Corp. is recalling Indirect Gas-Fired Furnaces sold nationwide from November 2006 to October 2007. The ignition control module can fail preventing the unit from shutting down in high temperature conditions. This poses a risk of fire, as well as hazardous fumes being released from burning/melting insulation. 

The recall involves Greenheck Fan Indirect Gas-Fired Furnaces models PVF, PVFH, IGX, IG, ERH and ERCH. The model name is located on the control center door or the furnace door. The furnace is either natural gas or LP gas (propane) fueled. Only units with ignition control module model number 35-615922-125 are included in the recall.

WALL FURNACES 

Rinnai America Corp. is recalling Direct-Vent Wall Furnaces, Models RHFE 431 and RHFE 556 sold nationwide from February 2000 to December 2007. A gasket in the unit can fail, posing a risk of poisonous carbon monoxide gas leaking into the home. 

The recall involves Rinnai EnergySaver Direct-Vent Wall Furnaces, Models RHFE 431 and RHFE 556. They are either natural gas or LP gas (propane) fueled. A complete list of the recalled furnaces can be found at www.recalls.org

TESTING CARDS 

Riverside Publishing Co. is recalling Memory Testing Cards (sold as part of educational testing kits) sold nationwide from January 2003 to November 2007. Surface paint on the cards contains excessive levels of lead. 

The recall involves the Universal Nonverbal Intelligence Test—Symbolic Memory Cards. The memory testing cards are part of a kit used to test children's physical and mental abilities. They are white with green figures, measure 1 ˝" x 1 ˝", and were sold as part of a kit (model number 922782), or were sold in packages of 10 cards (model number 922775). The model numbers are located on the packaging. 

Purchasers should return the cards to Riverside Publishing for free replacement cards.

CHILDREN'S JEWELRY 

Pecoware Co. Inc. is recalling Children's Metal Necklaces sold nationwide from January 2006 to November 2007. The children's necklaces contain high levels of lead. 

The recalled necklaces include a cat with silver and pink rhinestones, a heart and lock with pink rhinestones, a silver colored heart with a rhinestone crown, and a silver colored lock and key.

DART BOARDS 

Family Dollar is recalling FUN ‘N SAFE Magnetic Dart Boards sold exclusively at Family Dollar stores nationwide from January 2001 to January 2008. Small magnets at the ends of the darts can detach. 

The magnetic dart board is about 15 inches wide with a black, white, green, and red bulls eye checkered design and was sold with six 4-inch long magnetic darts. "Made in China" is embossed on the back of the board. 

Consumers should return the board and all of the darts to a Family Dollar store for a refund.
