Supports McIntosh for State's Attorney

To the editor:

I am curious about the number and statistics I am reading in Mr. Huyett's newspaper ads. The ad claims 835 criminals sent to prison under his position as state's attorney. Illinois is a large state and he has been a state's attorney in Tazewell County also. Is that inflated number a combination of county records? If so, that is irrevelant to Logan County.

I would also like to address Mr. Huyett's remarks from the debate with Mr. McIntosh regarding domestic battery arrests and prosecutions in Logan County. I was very amazed that he thinks it's OK to have a bad day and come home and push people around. I'm glad I don't live in his world.

Another thing that I keep hearing and wonder its relevance to Logan County is the constant comparisons to Christian County. Quite frankly, who cares. We're concerned voters, concerned about our streets and crime rates compared to our prosecutions and our convictions.

My choice for state's attorney is Mike McIntosh. I have known Mike for many years. I know that when he speaks, it is factual and not inflated or self-promoting as needed.

Vote McIntosh for honesty, integrity and Logan County family value representation.
