Health Department offers free exercise class
On Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. the Logan County Health
department offers a free exercise class at their location at 109 3rd
St. in Lincoln. The class is led by instructor Jan Dickerson who has
a B.S. in Physiology and is the owner of Fitness Balance in Lincoln.
Teresa Schrader with the Health Department advises that the program
is sponsored by the department's Diabetes Program in an effort to
promote better health through exercise.
The class is open to everyone and they are
encouraged to work at their own pace. For more information you can

Make sure you don't get your blood pressure up
The ALMH Auxiliary is sponsoring a free blood
pressure screening. The day is Tuesday, July 22 from 9:00 a.m.-Noon.
The free screening is at the ALMH Lincoln Conference Room, first
floor. You don't need an appointment so make it a date to get
yourself checked out.
Take a hike. Learn about our ancestors
The Emden Historical Society is sponsoring a
cemetery walk through the Hartsburg Union Cemetery on July 25th and
26th at 6:30 p.m.
The cemetery is located just west of Hartsburg on
the blacktop. Tickets are only $5.00 per person and you can pay at
the cemetery before the walk.
