[July 21, 2008]  BOSTON (AP) -- Authorities say a lightning strike has injured 10 people taking shelter under a tree during a thunderstorm at a soccer game.

Boston EMS officials say the victims were taken to various hospitals after Sunday's incident with burns consistent with a lightning strike. The youngest victim was 13 years old, while the oldest was in his 40s.

All the victims were expected to survive.

The storm struck at about 3:30 p.m. during a men's soccer game at Dorchester's Franklin Field.

Witness Hector Rivera says victims were falling "like bricks."

EMS deputy supervisor Michael Bosse says he cannot remember 10 people being struck by lightning at once.
