The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen
center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except
holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday
and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive
director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Bingo sponsored by St. Clara's Manor St Clara's Manor will
sponsor the bingo games Thursday at The Oasis, beginning at 1 p.m.
Free blood pressure checks
The Oasis offers free blood pressure checks every Friday
from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Food distribution date
The Self Help and Resource Exchange program distribution time is
4-5:30 p.m. Friday at the senior center. The SHARE program is an
outreach sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Peoria. For more

Senior bowling league
The Oasis and Logan Lanes are partnering to offer a free
bowling extravaganza for Oasis members on Monday at 10 a.m. Bowling,
shoes and ball are at no charge. Refreshments will be available.
Bunco
Bunco games will be on Monday, beginning at 1 p.m., at The Oasis.
Refreshments will be provided by Marilyn Armburst from Regions Bank.

Tuesday lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch for July 29 features chopped steak with
mushroom gravy, potato salad and dessert for a suggested donation of
$3.75. If you stay and play cards, the cost of the meal is $3.25.
The deadline to make a reservation is noon Monday.
Bingo at the Rec
The special for Tuesday night bingo at the Lincoln Rec Center is
"Package Night." Purchase a package for $14 and get a computer of
choice for $10. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Early bird is at 6:50.
Breakfast bingo
The Oasis and Vonderlieth Living Center will sponsor
breakfast bingo on July 31. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and breakfast is served at
9 a.m. Bingo will begin after breakfast. The cost is $3.50.
Card winners
Winners for weekday pinochle were Kathy Roos and Lucky
Eichner. The weekend winners were Helen Cart and Wilbur Wilmert.
