A warm front will lift north toward central Illinois Monday
night. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, as strong
winds in the lower atmosphere bring warm and humid air into the
area. Large hail and damaging winds will be possible from the
strongest storms.
The warm front is expected to stall out across north central
Illinois on Tuesday, setting the stage for additional strong to
severe storms Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night. Once again,
damaging winds and large hail will be possible as these storms move
through.
