The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen
center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except
holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday
and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive
director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Extension to sponsor bingo The Logan County Extension Unit
will sponsor the bingo games at The Oasis on Thursday, beginning at
1 p.m.
Alzheimer's support group to meet
The Alzheimer support group will meet Thursday at 1 p.m. in the
library at the senior center. No reservations are necessary. The
group provides support and information for caregivers and extended
family and is facilitated by a coordinator from Maple Ridge Care
Centre.
Memories class
The Memories class will meet at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in the senior
center's library. Participants are asked to bring their own pen and
paper to learn skills needed to preserve memories for families and
friends.
Oasis board meeting
The Oasis board of directors will meet on Wednesday at 5 p.m. The
meeting is open to the public. To schedule any agenda items, the
board must receive notification in writing on or before the fifth
day of the month prior to a meeting date. JUNE 18 or 19?
Blood pressure checks
The Oasis offers free testing of blood pressure every Friday
between 10 and 11:30 a.m. No reservations necessary.

Bunco
Bunco games at the senior center will be on Monday, beginning at
1 p.m. Refreshments will be available, sponsored by Marilyn Armbrust,
Regions Bank.
Tuesday lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch for June 24 will feature vegetable soup,
bologna salad sandwich and dessert for a suggested donation of
$3.75. If you stay and play cards, the cost of the meal is $3.25.
The deadline to make a reservation is noon Monday.
Bingo at the Rec
The special for Tuesday night bingo at the Lincoln Rec Center is
to buy a $20 computer at regular price and get your choice of second
computer at half price. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Early bird is at
6:50.
Card winners
The winners for weekday pinochle were Larry Van Bibber and Henry
Warnisher. The weekend winners were Helen Cart and Pauline Boward.
