Two hit-and-run accidents were reported on Sunday, June 15:

Vehicle damage on Sunday, June 15, in front of 409 Wyatt Ave.

Unit 1: Yvonne E. Roger, 67-year-old female, of Lincoln; 2003 Ford Taurus

Unit 2: unknown driver

Roger's vehicle was sideswiped by Unit 2 while parked properly in front of 409 Wyatt Ave.

A witness said that he observed a small blue car sideswipe Roger's car and then leave the scene. The witness did not see the driver but did notice a dog in the vehicle.


Health Care

Vehicle damage on Sunday, June 15, in parking lot at 111 S Sangamon St.

Unit 1: Jason D. Horn, male, of Lincoln; 1989 Ford Mustang

Unit 2: unknown driver; vehicle unknown

Horn's vehicle was parked in the parking lot at 111 S. Sangamon St. When he returned to the vehicle, it had been struck on the front bumper.

Funeral Director

Logan County Sheriff's Department reports for Wednesday, June 18

  • McFarland, Jeremy B., 22-year-old male, Lincoln; misdemeanor -- domestic battery

  • Rich, Nathan B., 19-year-old male, Decatur; misdemeanor -- illegal consumption of alcohol by minor


The public is reminded that anyone is presumed innocent until charges are proven in a court of law.
