[March 01, 2008]  Be sure to sign your children up for School's Out Fun Days during spring break. There will be activities from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 20-28 at the Y Activity Center. Early registration ends March 6, with a late fee for any registrations received after that date.

The next art class hosted by the YMCA will be entitled Matisse, Master of Color. Come join instructor Lisa Madigan as she teaches Matisse's paper-cutting technique to create a paper window. This class will be March 27, 9:30-11 a.m., at the Y Activity Center. Be sure to sign your child up now, as class size is limited.

The Lincoln Area YMCA is also looking to start an art class for adults. If you are interested, please contact the Y office with your information. As always, we are open to suggestions regarding this and any other programs.

Hip Hop Abs is a fun and invigorating workout led by instructor Teri Lyn Jeffery. Bring a friend and join her every Thursday night, 5:30-6:30, as she guides us through an amazing ab workout mixed with some hip-hop dance moves. What better way to get fit than with fun and friends.

The Y Run Club is a club for both beginners and advanced runners who are looking for others to run and train with. Y Runs will meet every other week at various locations to offer a variety of routes. We will also keep participants informed about other runs being offered throughout the state. If interested, please call the office for more information.

For more details on YMCA programs and events, please contact the Lincoln Area YMCA at 735-3915, 604 Broadway St., Suite 1, or online at www.lincolnymca.org. The Lincoln Area YMCA Activity Center is located at 719 Wyatt Ave.
