Logan County 4-H'ers Attend State Junior
Leadership Conference

CHAMPAIGN -- Cameron and Evan Jodlowski from
Atlanta and Kyle Klockenga from Lincoln recently attended the 2008
Illinois 4-H Junior Leadership Conference in Champaign. They joined
approximately 75 youth from across the state Feb. 23-24 to improve
their leadership skills, focus on team-building and highlight
learning opportunities they can bring back to their local 4-H clubs.

Cameron and Evan are members of the Atlanta Town and County 4-H,
and Kyle is a member of the Wide-A-Wake 4-H of Logan County.
Junior high youth representing 28 counties attended workshops
covering the topics of robotics, decision-making, team-building,
public presentations and displays, physical well-being, and various
4-H project areas. The Illinois State 4-H Youth Leadership Team
planned and managed the conference, including teaching all of the
seven workshops offered.

John Francis, 4-H alumnus and vice-president and general manager
of Specialty Resources Group, served as the keynote speaker on Feb.
24. He spoke of his 4-H experiences in Will County and tied those
experiences to his tasks in his current career.
The Illinois 4-H Junior Leadership Conference is conducted by the
Illinois State 4-H Youth Leadership Team as part of the University
of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Development Program and the U.S.
Department of Agriculture Cooperative State Research, Education and
