[March 17, 2008]  (AP)  Snow was forecast Monday in the Southern Rockies and parts of the Southwest and Central Plains.

Thunderstorms with possible tornadoes were expected to develop in the panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma.

Rain was likely in the Upper Mississippi Valley.

Rain and high elevation snow were forecast for the Northwest.

Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Sunday ranged from a low of minus 11 degrees at Land O' Lakes, Wis., to a high of 100 degrees at Laredo, Texas.
