[May 08, 2008]Expect the showers and a few
thunderstorms to continue to strengthen and spread north over
central Illinois through 11 a.m. The heaviest rain will be south of
a Springfield-to-Champaign line. Rainfall amounts will possibly
reach three-quarters of an inch through noon Thursday. Some ponding
of water in low-lying areas will be possible. The rainfall will
begin to weaken by late morning.
