Late season snow was projected for the northern Rockies, where temperatures were expected to be unseasonably cold. In the mountains across northwestern Wyoming, temperatures were expected to remain below freezing all day.
Clear skies were forecast throughout the West.
Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Sunday ranged from a low of 6 degrees at Rush City, Minn., to a high of 101 degrees at Yuma, Ariz.
